Service

The working days of the corps consists of different deployment in relation to the security of the pope and his residence. There are also various leisure possibilities.

Culture

The Eternal City offers culture lovers a lot, both ecclesiastically and in the worldly sense. There is a lot to discover, and a trip into the past promises a view of a legendary time.

Sport

Sport enthusiasts can prove their condition and ability in the Guards own football team, FC Guardia. In an annual test of strength, the Vatican championship, the FC Guardia compete against other Vatican teams, such the police and the museum attendants.
Within the barracks is a well- equipped fitness room.

 

Music

For those who prefer music, they can join the band. Or they can learn to play a wind instrument. The band plays at festive events such as National Day or at Christmas. It also thrills the visitors to the swearing in ceremony on 6 May.

Culinary

Five Albertiner nuns from Poland look after the culinary needs in the canteen. Swiss and Italian cuisine is on the menu. Outside the barracks the city of Rome has a lot to offer. The exquisite Italian cuisine, including many regional specialities, promise an enjoyable time in the overwhelming setting of this ancient city.
