Welcome to the Foundations of the Pontifical Swiss Guard

The work and projects of the Pontifical Swiss Guard in the Vatican are supported by two philanthropic foundations registered in Switzerland.

Foundation of the Guard

Founded in the year 2000, this foundation aims at the further development of the Pontifical Swiss Guard in the Vatican and supports the Guardsmen and their families in the long term.

Foundation Renovation of the barracks

The Foundation for the Renovation of the Barracks of the Pontifical Swiss Guard in the Vatican was established in Solothurn in autumn 2016. Its sole objective is the renovation of the barracks buildings and the other infrastructure facilities of the Guard.

Messaggero

The Messaggero reports on news from the Swiss Guard and on the projects of the two foundations.
